@naturalsight well that is VERY impressive. Do you think it has anything to do with your work on natural vision improvement?

  2. naturalsight Says:

@tobeinformed – I think so. I have seen many people look younger as they let go of the strain (face, neck, shoulders, back, etc.) that is always present with blurry eyesight. I think this is likewise true when people with “heart disease” or a “bad back” naturally reverse these conditions. Our western culture ages us fast because we don’t know how to feel at peace with our lives.
Improving eyesight (or other health condition) invites letting go of some stress, so this is a good thing!!!

Wow i am very interested in this! I watched Dr. Mercolas video about the Bates method and i would really like to try this.

I’m 19 years old and have been wearing glasses since i was about the age of 4. My vision is ideal in my left eye, but very poor in my right eye, and i am also partially colorblind.

Would this method actualy be able to correct my right eye? and i would guess that if my right eye got better, then i would improve on my color vision.

  4. naturalsight Says:

@FudgeBison – Your enthusiasm and optimism about it are great! They are such an important part of the mix. Something in you knows it is possible, and you are right. With the difference between the eyes, you will want to do activities with each eye separately, and with them together. Fusion activities will be helpful. You are very insightful, yes, the color vision tends to improve along with it.. please check out my website for more info. Best wishes!!! Greg

  5. kageromaru Says:

Glasses ruined my eyesight, thanks to retarded docs. I’m doing very simple eye moving exercises everyday though, and it’s getting better.
Glasses, and especially contact lenses, just make your eyes worse. And people don’t wonder why they always have to buy stronger and stronger glasses…

  6. animalman1122 Says:

Doesn’t nearsightedness improve naturally with aging anyway?

  7. SonjaHelga Says:

I have found that my biggest improvement was with night vision. Where the lines before my exercises at night would be almost crisscrossing, I now can drive at night without this problem

  8. MrRadioRage Says:

Should i still use glasses while the period of doing this exercises?

  9. naturalsight Says:

@kageromaru – It sounds like you are on the right track. Movement is indeed the key, it unlocks the frozen vision. It seems inevitable that any culture would discover and utilize the ability of glasses to sharpen vision. According to Dr. Bates, any glasses reinforce straining, but I think many doctors don’t realize how they accelerate poorer vision by giving even stronger prescriptions than really needed.

  10. naturalsight Says:

@animalman1122 – true, for some people nearsightedness improves over time. But I think more common is if someone first gets glasses in grade school or junior high, their sight will continue to get worse into their 20′s or 30′s then level off. Or in many cases slowly continue to decline. Of course the Bates Model for this is that a person is sliding deeper and deeper into the abyss of visual strain.

  11. naturalsight Says:

@SonjaHelga – Wow, that’s great that you’ve gotten back your night vision! A lot of people assume that night vision is just simple physics + biochemistry. Either a person’s night vision works, or it doesn’t work. But there are so many people like you that find it improving. Incredibly, some people have even ceased to be colorblind as they teach their mind to be interested in color distinctions along with Bates techniques.

  12. naturalsight Says:

@MrRadioRage – originally Dr. Bates was emphatic that a person should throw away their glasses or it could never work. But he softened on this as he saw a more moderate approach working. Natural vision teachers ever since have tended to suggest a middle path. Be legal for driving, and even keep around full strength glasses for times you need them to feel safe. Otherwise go without glasses or with the lowest prescription that works for what you are doing. Give your eyes a chance to stretch!

  13. eastcoaster54 Says:

@naturalsight ceased to be color blind eh? are you just making this up of the top of your head???

  14. naturalsight Says:

@eastcoaster54 – I understand your skepticism about colorblindness. The Leading Bates teachers Margaret Corbett and Clara Hackett worked with a lot of pilots in WWII, and found quite by accident that some of them had colorblindness improve. Hackett then became more systematic and developed routines to foster more interest and awareness in colors, with increasing success. Kind of like Tom Brown (The Tracker) teaching people to notice “what is out of place” in the woods.

both my eyes are -2 but am seeing fluctuations in my vision. however they dont seem to last so my question is how can i increase this? also when doing deep breating i experience some pain in my sides and back. and tight feelin of shoulders and back. is this because i dont have the right posture? or the fact that my muscles are strained? I stopped wearing lenses completly and can manage although its difficult in school. Tnx for your advice and video btw its realy helpful!!

  16. XxXcherry007 Says:

@kageromaru tell me about it. they made my sight alotttt worse aswell ever since i started wearing those damm things. good things i found out about natural improvement. not fully there yet though.

  17. naturalsight Says:

@XxXcherry007 – To retain clarity longer, do the activities with an increasing sense that the eyes are vibrating, sparkling; keep your vision moving. To address the tightness in the shoulders & back AND practice deeper breathing together, check out “The Fountain of Youth” by Peter Kelder. It has a set of 5 dynamic movements I found really helpful. They are supposed to be based in Tibetan Buddhism, providing good posture without thinking about it, and many people report CLEARER EYESIGHT too.

  18. naturalsight Says:

@XxXcherry007 – p.s. Please do wear glasses if you drive, unless you test legal at 20/40 without them.

  19. XxXcherry007 Says:

The breathing technique makes me feel very dizzy and light headed each time. i have a low pulse and heart rate so maybe it got someting to do with this. is it possible to relax my strained muscles in a diffrent way. I especially feel dizzy after palming.

  20. naturalsight Says:

@XxXcherry007 — Some people have used the Bates techniques in sort of a “homeopathic” fashion. People with extremely sun sensitive eyes have reversed that sensitivity in just a few weeks with sunning. People with aversion to movement have dissolved it with the Bates swing. They went gently into these techniques, gradually retraining their mind-body to make a shift. Breathing and palming may be such an opportunity for you? Of course, this is anecdotal, not medical advice in any sense!

  21. ryandvan Says:

Wow, my vision improved remarkably about half way through this vid and again after trying the tense and release method!

  22. naturalsight Says:

@ryandvan – Excellent! If you can remember this feeling more and more through the day you will find your eyesight improving.

  23. ryandvan Says:

@naturalsight Yes, I guessed that much! :D So many things to work on!! But all related I guess . . . I didn’t know that that the muscles responsible for turning the eye were the same ones for focus. Knowing that alone I think has really tuned me in . . .

  24. naturalsight Says:

@ryandvan – very good! It doesn’t even matter so much if your idea of the workings of the eye is exactly right. MUCH more important is to feel things just as you are doing now, and notice subtle differences that happen when your vision improves. That is the easy way, and much more fun. Best wishes with it!

  25. ZabuzaMomochi567 Says:
