When I was 7 or 8 years old adult people with good intentions put glasses on me, and I’ve basically never taken them off since then, and my eyes rapidly deteriorated of course.
I’ve been reading here and there over the years about natural eye-healing and it’s very interesting. I believe it can work, and I’ve started doing eye-healing exercises to good effect so far.

Wait a second. Increasing font size can worsen vision? I’m incredulous.
Does that mean I should reduce font size until it’s the smallest I can read? Am I damaging my vision if the font size is already large?

right..! Oh, no problem.

@RCinPAWA You can’t damage your vision. You can induce strain and it temporarily gets blurry. Upon constant motion, relaxation and central fixation, better eyesight is achieved.

@TeacherPhilEnglish
I’ll go along with that.

Thanks for another great video. I just tried looking at small print that was looking a little blury and after I blinked my eyes several times while staring at it, it became clearer.

I actually practiced the Bates Method after reading his book – Better Sight without glasses. And vouch that it really works. You have to do the exercises everyday, and not wear glasses the whole day. BTW, my power dropped from -5 to -4 in 30 days. My optometrist dismissed it as a fluke event – of course I didn’t tell him that I have been working at making the fluke event happen!

When I was a kid I’d stare at the sun in the late afternoon, when it was not soo bright, for 5-15 minutes at a time. I’ve never needed glasses in my 31 years. The nurse at work did a proper eye test on me a year ago and reported my eyes are above 20/20. All of my family has glasses too

Hey Doc … Many thanks for you videos ..Wondering if you have any thoughts on Central Serous Retinopathy, i have had it for about 2 years, I seen numerous specialists and I am reluctant to go down the lazer treatment route in favor of waiting it out for advancements in treatment .. I am read that marijuana can be beneficial in this condition

You’ve definitely piqued my interest. I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 6 yrs. old and my prescription is very strong, today. I’m very nearsighted.
What I’m wondering is; does this have anything to do with what I’ve always heard from optometrists – which is to read with my glasses *off* in order to improve my vision? Seems to be a connection there.

As an artist I spend sometimes more than 18 hrs at a time painting (see work on my channel) I learn to compensate, I know for myself that sugar does make my eyes blurry, sour things & vitamin c sharpen it & b-vitamins help make it a non issue. I learned to avoid poisons such as gmo/processed corn oil/canola as being one of the worst for my eyes & concentration but also avoiding hydrogenated oils even if the labels say trans fat free. MSG also impairs vision,no wonder it spikes insulin up to 3 x.

@StevoJN erm staring at the sun damages your eyes how could it help you? tell me more about it i’m very curious about that method
2. May 2010 at 1:50 pm
I’m wondering who defined what normal vision is.They could as well raise the standard so that 100% of people all need glasses.
28. May 2010 at 11:59 pm
@lithium1997 Yes the sun will probably damage your eyes, the best was to close your eyes and look at the sun, not sure what it is called but they say it works to improve vision.
