I recently figured out by an online eye test that one of my eyes is 20/20 and the other is 20/40, the problem is that i don’t know if I’d even see a major improvement by wearing glasses. The truth is that i never even use my left eye. (the one withe 20/40 vision) I think that i have a blind spot covering half of that eye anyways. So do you think that glasses will improve my vision?

If you truly have a blind spot in your left eye, you wouldn’t be 20/40. It’s possible you could be able to see better and strengthen your weak eye, but only an eye doctor will be able to tell you.
I’m the exact same as you, and glasses help me.

I think that a medical eye exam by a real doctor would help to improve your eyes. You use both your eyes unless you are completely blind in one. You may find that you will have less headaches and eye strain if you correct your 20/40 vision to match your 20/20 vision. It couldn’t hurt you to go in for an eye exam. If ins. is the problem (not that i am insinuating you don’t have any just trying to give you option saving any little bit helps lol) Wal-mart eye care has cheap eye exams and very inexpensive eye wear.
Hope this helped

I’ve been wearing glasses for about 12 yrs and from my experience glasses do not improve your natural vision but they keep it from getting worse and also you obviously see better with them then without – that’s for sure.
But you better ask a doctor – maybe there was smth wrong with that online test or maybe you need an operation to fix that blind spot of yours or maybe all you need is just some therapy and gymnastics for your eyes or maybe yeah you need glasses.
